Baby livery

For St. Catherine's Fair, the whole household is liveried. Naturally the babies get outfits too.

A kirtle made of blue wool in a simple pattern, a key hole neck edged with silk ribbon which also doubles as a tie.

A red woolen surcote, sleeveless. It is done with two side gores, each divided by a false seam to give the impression of four gores. Wide neck opening.

Final touch: a little red hood to match the surcote. Done in a standard pattern with an inset triangle in front. It is wider over the neck area than an adult's hood would be.
